Cambridge Community Meal Program

On Saturday September 10, Giving Tree had the pleasure of serving at the Fish and Loaves program at the First Korean Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Members volunteered in a variety of different ways! Some volunteers helped give out food donations to the community and others helped give out drinks, hot meals, goodie bags, and ice cream! 

Our members also had the pleasure to talk with the wonderful people in the Cambridge community! One person told us about the things he did that day including going to a protest in downtown Boston! We love to be able to hear about the things that these awesome people do in a day! Another person said that she lost her husband only a few months ago. It was heartbreaking to hear this but she was so happy that we were able to give her a hot meal and goodie bags! 

Thank you so much to the staff of the Fish and Loaves program for providing food for the community in Cambridge. Thank you also to the people that came to the program! We were so happy to see your faces and get to have conversations with you guys! We hope to see you next week, and we are super excited to get to serve again! :)
