Squeezed Lemonade Stand

Written by Heejeh Sung - Edited by Faith Choi

The weekend has finally come! What a wonderful time to spend kicking back and relaxing all day with no care in the world. But not the Giving Tree! This Saturday, our members and volunteers kept themselves busy with handfuls of charity work as they banded together to set up a lemonade stand downtown in Lexington Center. The objective was to not only raise funds for our program but also to whip up rejuvenating beverages for passing pedestrians and bikers. Indeed, it was a huge success! There really is nothing better than a refreshing cup of freshly squeezed lemonade on a hot summer day.

Thank you to all of the members who took the time to come out and aid our neighbors. Proud to be at service to the community: Faith, Eunjeh, Bianca, David, Chris, and Noelle! We commend you for becoming a member of our plan of action. We also want to express our gratitude to all of those who donated supplies such as ice, water, and lemons. We want to give another shoutout to our biker donors who give more than we could imagine! We appreciate your kindness and we hope to repay this generosity back to the world by helping those in need.
