We are so glad to have you join us in Giving Tree. In Giving Tree, we aim to emphasize the humanness of each member of the community and cultivate communities by addressing individual desires. What’s an example of this? We could set up a pop-up cafe with tables and chairs near other nonprofits serving food to people experiencing homelessness and serve artisan coffee by order. Many people enjoy artisan coffee and this is an example of a “thoughful gift”. Yes, we all have our basic needs, but our desire for happiness is what makes us more human. We try to give a bit of that joy.
